Brooks I Newborn

I have a confession. I have a slight obsession with newborn baby toes. Baby Brooks was a feisty kicker when he was awake during our session. Quickly getting out of my weak swaddle and showing off his sweet toes. But once he fell asleep he was an angel. I love his ruffled lip while he is laying on Shannon's shoulder. Second confession. I love dogs and babies together. I just about died when we got Madison Mae to lay with Brooks. She was at my side most of the shoot keeping tabs on her new bestie. I cannot wait to do a similar shot with Bo someday.

Hope you enjoy this session as much as did!

Foradori Family | Lifestyle Session

Last fall, I was contacted by Momma Foradori to do a family session with her husband and daughter. She found me via Facebook (Thank you social media!) and began to explain her need for photos. They were in the process of adopting their second child. To say I was honored to be a part of this would be an understatement. These photos would be used to put ‘their best faces forward’ and create an adoption letter. At the time it was still a secret so the session stayed under wraps. However, we have kept in touch since then. She sent me the adoption letter this past winter which left my heart swelling with joy and excitement for them. They are the sweetest couple and will be beautiful parents to another child.

When I emailed her this week to tell her she would be featured on my blog, she shared her big announcement. Their youngest daughter had come home last Friday!

I am constantly amazed at the moments I get to be a part of because of photography. This is one session that will forever be etched on my heart. As much as these images are a gift to the family, spending time with them was a gift to me.
